Five course Wine-makers dinner featuring Echeverria Wines – May 3

Thirsty for something new?  And hankering for something delicious to go with that new wine?  Come to our wine-makers dinner on May 3!

 Our May wine-tasting event will be a wine-makers dinner on Thursday, May 3, 2012, with Julie Ward from Saverio Schiralli Agencies Ltd.  Tickets are only $49/per person, including tax and gratuity. 

We are featuring five different Echeverria Wines, including a prosecco to start. We are very pleased to have Viviana Echeverria who is joining us to speak about her family’s wines.  To learn more about the Echeverria vines, here is their site: http://www.echewine.com/home.html

Reserve Your Spot! Spanish wines and Spanish tapas – March 6, 2012

Welcome to the first of our series of wine tastings each month.

Next Tuesday, March 6, we will be featuring Spanish wines hosted by Valerie from Crush Imports.  There will five tempting Spanish wines, accompanied by five delicious courses of Spanish tapas, prepared by our chef Lindsay Porter.

Now Open for Lunch – 4th and Vine

We are pleased to announce we are now open for lunch!

Every Tuesday to Friday, 11:30 – 2:00 pm is now lunch time at 4th and Vine Winebar and Bistro. Feast your eyes on our lunch menu below so you know what to order when you get here.

We are also starting a series of wine tastings each month.

New Year, New Paint! Opening for Lunch Soon Too…

Hello and welcome to the new year at 4th and Vine!

Come down to 4th and Vine for some wine and eats, and check out our nice new fresh paint!  We’ve got some fresh new colors to show off in the daytime hours, as well as for our usual supper crowd.  4th and Vine is getting a makeover, as we’ll be opening for lunch by February, in addition to being open our usual supper hours.

We’ll be continuing to add some new cosmetic improvements to the restaurant in the next few months to refresh 4th and Vine. So you may continue to notice some new improvements that weren’t there the last time you visited.  We will keep you posted on our new lunch hours right here, but we’ll continue to be open our usual evening dining hours.

Closed Until January 10, 2012 For Freshening Up!

We thought we would give 4th and Vine a freshen up for 2012, so we are currently painting the restaurant.

We will re-open January 10, and will be happy to show you our freshened up look.

Keep your eyes peeled as we will be opening for lunch in the New Year.  We will also be offering some special promotions and take-out for our Oliver neighbours.  See you soon!

Happy Hour 4 – 6, $15 for Any Wine & Small Plate

From 4 – 6 pm every day, we want you to be extra happy. 

For $15, you can try one of the wines from our glass list, and pair it with any small plate on our menu.  While money can’t buy you happiness, $15 can make you happier for at least an hour….

What can I eat and drink for $15?

Crab cakes ($12) and a glass of  2008 Olivier Larochette Pouilly-Fuissé ($13).

Short rib tostadas ($12) and a glass of 2008 Crios Syrah-Bonarda ($10).

Indulgence Edmonton – tonight

We are proud to be one of the participating restaurants at “Indulgence – A Canadian Epic of Food and Wine”.  It’s tonight at the Delta Edmonton South, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Delta Edmonton South (4404 Gateway Blvd.).

The tickets are sold out for tonight, but we encourage you to come next year!

This week’s wine flight: Around the World

Come in and try a taste of the delicious (and expensive) wine we are featuring in this week’s “Around the World” wine flight.   

For the extremely reasonable price of $20, you can try four 2-ounce glasses of:
~ Les Romaines Sancerra, 2009, Canada -$14 glass/$60 bottle
~ Villa Matilda Aglianicio, 2008, Italy – $11 glass/$50 bottle
